#GlobalWindDay

Have you ever complained about the wind? We all have, especially when the wind ruins a perfectly beautiful day or celebration. Wind causes dust and debris to fly around eventually causing soil erosion. If it’s too strong, wind can knock down trees, causing other types of damage. BUT, the wind can also be a good thing.

Many companies are embracing the wind as an affordable type of energy using wind turbines to generate wind energy. Wind energy creates jobs. For example, wind turbine service technicians are the second fastest growing occupation in the U.S. In fact, many other countries are taking advantage of these benefits, too Some of the top producers of wind energy throughout the world include China, Germany, India, Spain, United Kingdom, and Brazil.

According to the department of energy, wind energy is:

  • One of the most cost-effective sources of energy.

  • A clean energy source because it it now dependent upon fossil fuels or coal.

  • A sustainable source of energy that will never run out.
