What The Pi Is Going On?
On 3.14 (March 14, 2025) at 10:00 am We are kicking off Pi Day with exciting prize giveaways and entertaining activities all day long on our Facebook page.
Until then, enjoy the following...
In a town where every street curved just right and no one ever walked in straight lines, the annual National Pi Day | Bake-Off was the highlight of the year. Bakers, mathematicians, and hungry townsfolk gathered to honor Pi with their best pies—both the baked and the numerical kind.
This year, the reigning champion, Snoop Doug, was confident in his Snoopalicious Pi Delight, boasting a crust so delicate it could make a grown mathematician cry. But across the competition tent stood Average Amy, a wildcard with a Triple Chocolate TauPi Tart (for the radicals who believed Pi should be replaced by Tau, 2π).
The judges—three hungry calculus professors—took their jobs seriously. After rigorous pie tastings, deep existential debates about circles, and a near food coma, the final verdict was in.
“Snoop’s pie was exquisite,” the head judge announced, “but the Average One's’ tart was…” He hesitated.
“…Twice as good,” whispered one judge, eyes widening.
The room fell silent. A murmur rippled through the crowd. Had Snoop finally been dethroned? Was Tau the true ruler of the mathematical dessert kingdom?
Snoop, ever the gentleman, simply adjusted his glasses and sighed. “Well, I suppose two pies are better than one.”
And thus, the Pi Day Bake-Off became the Pi & Tau Day Bake-Off, doubling both the desserts and the celebration.
Because at National Day Calendar, the only thing better than a slice of pie… is two.
