PRO-LIFE DAY OF SILENT SOLIDARITY

PRO-LIFE DAY OF SILENT SOLIDARITY

On the third Tuesday of October, an observance known as the Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity takes place. On this day, participants, primarily students, voluntarily take a vow of silence to bring attention to the pro-life perspective.

#ProLifeDayOfSilentSolidarity

The core of Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity is the act of silence itself. Participants aim to represent and honor those they believe have been silenced by abortion. By giving up their own voices for the day, they intend to draw attention to their cause in a non-confrontational manner. To communicate their purpose without speaking, many prepare and hand out informational cards explaining why they are silent and what the day means to them.

Representing the 3,000 voices taken by abortion every day, students chose to take a vow of silence. This particular movement suggests wearing a red armband representing your participation in the day. Others may wear red duct tape across their mouths. No matter how participants demonstrate their participation the day, a vow of silence represents those who've been silenced forever through abortion.
